Inspired Discoveries Rebrand Strategy

Inspired Discoveries is “UBalt's annual symposium showcasing undergraduate research and creative work.” For this project, I rebranded the previous logo to reflect a youthful, modern audience.
The cloud-like, thought bubble shape I used as an icon in this rebrand symbolizes creativity and abstract thought. According to Healthline, abstract thinking is “the ability to consider concepts beyond what we observe physically. Recognizing patterns, analyzing ideas, synthesizing information, solving problems, and creating things all involve abstract thinking.” The use of nebulas as an accompanying texture also emphasizes this theme. The colors I chose for this rebrand reflect those you may find in a nebula cluster—blues, pinks, and purples all adapted in a fun, bright, palette.
