RED Talks Rebrand Strategy

Research Engagement Day (RED) “provides an opportunity for faculty and graduate students to share their research with the UBalt Community through highly-focused 5 minute presentations.” For this project, I was asked to create a simple, cohesive, style guide for the 2022 RED Talks event.
The final design uses letters replaced by quotation marks that double as an icon and pattern. The symbolism in the logo also represents the theme of open discussion and dialogue. For the color palette, I chose muted and neutral tones to emphasize the most important color in the logo: red.
